Been using TeamSpeak 2 RC 2 with PlanetSide for the last few weeks. It works flawlessly and makes the game much better by being able to communicate with squad members easily.

Heh, Well thank you for a great piece of software anyway. It makes life in a squad so much easier. I don't think anyone wants to stop and type in the heat of a battle, especially a MMOFPS. :)

I've gotten a lot of complaints from PlanetSide beta players about the sound in TeamSpeak (RC2) breaking up badly no matter what codec they use. The group all has broadband and has no problems with Tribes 2 or BF1942. They finally left my server for a different voice comm software, ventrilio(?), yesterday :(
I listened in for a while, before they left, with about 12 of them in the channel and didn't hear anything out of the ordinary, so I'm assuming the problem comes in during playback and not recording.

Personnaly, I won't support TS2 and SOE/Planetside in any way.

If the testing team wants to go with another app: they're more than welcome to do so. Ventrilo is prolly a good program then too.

Well even if you won't support it, myself and the entire outfit I'm a part of will continue to use it because Ventrillo has sound issues with Planetside and the in game voice communication is just barely fair quality, as for other voice comms...

TeamSpeak is the best I have tried, and if the dev team continues work on it I'm sure it will continue to be the best.
