I have a server set up on my computer (running xp, have my port open on the router). When i try to connect to it with the client on the same computer it does not work. im guessing i cant connect on the same computer that im running the server on, but can someone confirm this? or is this incorrect?

you can connect to a ts2 server on the same computer by using 127.0.0.1 as the server address in the client connection setup.

please read the client's manual... you can't expect that someone explains how to login to a server as admin...

(in the manual especially read Menu Connection / Connect)
your password is in your server.log and your login name is admin.
