English:

I noticed that quite a few things are not covered in the FAQ (e.g. basic's about NAT/broadband access/portforwarding/IPmasq, TS2 RC1 - TS2 RC2 prob, basic of setting up a TS server,...). A lot of questions follow each day in the forum, why not implemnt them into the FAQ ?
But the main complain is that the FAQ is only in english.

Wouldn't it be possible to enlarge the FAQ ? I'm sure there are people who would help to add FAQ text's. I would rather write a basic NAT description then explain it every second day in the forum again and again. Just an example

Deutsch:

Turkish:

bla bla bla bla.....

Of course it is possible.

The thing with NAT and all the ports, forwarding, adjusting firewalls etc. is something that is not really the business of TeamSpeak. That's something people should take up with their router providers, firewall admin aso.
We do provide information about what ports TS is using though.

If someone is kind enough to write text about this:
I will happily implement it in the FAQ section.

If you have posts that need to be directed to the FAQ section because they are needed or just a good thing: just let me know.

Am I allowed to reply to the faqs and write translations right under the english-versions?

or is there a way to open a german faq-sub-forum?

what I'd like most would be a faq where you first can select the language and then can select topics like "server-faq" / "client-faq" and perhaps a "router-faq"
server-faq could be split up into linux / windows, but I don't think it needs to. Client FAQ should be split up in soundprobs and gaming-faq so that everyone can find the Num-Lock thread :)

that'd bring a little more structure into this forum. And yes, perhaps the first page should include some tips, especially how to use the search-function :)

@woutur:

NAT: exactly what I think too, but my experience has showed, that a lot of people are lazzy to search the web fot basic infos about IP translation,...
Writing some basic about this, would only help us, I guess.

What about a FAQ in german ?

by the way:
the link in this FAQ post is dead !
http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1251

I don't want to argue the current FAQ is bad, probably it is only incomplete ?

Guldi is right.
And maybe a direct link on the main page to the FAQ....
