TS Suggestion You Need To Solve This

The whole reason I posted this message is because there is no settings option to allow me to choose a sound file when a text chat message arrives in the text chat window - the reason this is important follows...

There has been some talk of fixing the TS text chat window - some people see it as uneccessary...voice is everything.. yes but..

When I play games I invite NEW people to join my voice server ALL THE TIME - This is good for business for the TS developers by way of spreading the product and gaining acceptance amongst a larger population..

Which also means I get a LOT of people who cant get their microphone working and need to ask questions on text chat.

I also have people who use a microphone til it dies, and they need to be able to contact me while I am in game to let me know there is a problem..

Currently you have to pull down the menu to select a person to type a message into the window every time.. this is burdensome.

I do not have the TS window open when the persons with problems are having trouble contacting me, so therefore I do not see the text messages when they arrive.

So we need to make the text window easier to access AND WE NEED sound notifications options which we can turn on or off..

There is good reason to have a backup plan for everything, even a product as great as TS - thank you for your time reading this.

I don't think that this is a double-post, because he suggests that a special sound gets played whenever a defined text-message is written...

When the only intelligent thing you can offer to the conversation is quote "blah blah double post" dont you think THAT kind of reply hasnt been seen before? talk about low quality and high quantity double post.. at least some people in here recognize that TS has a 100% failure rate in notifying people of text messages by sound.

Every single text message you get while youre in a game window will not be seen until you have exited the game in some way..

And there are multiple reasons that people will use text messaging.. maybe you're too small-minded to think of those who arent able to speak - being handicapped in some way, but they want to be a part of their friends group on TS..

Anyone who fails to recognize that is just pretending they are spending their time in here productively. Go do something else, maybe that will do some good we can all use..

and I'd advice you not to insult members with 100+ posts... generally don't insult anyone... "small-minded"... Linuxfan is the top bugreporter, did much linux support... and I don't think that you should take out the right to thank him for that as you just did by insulting him *g*
Linuxfan most probably just skimmed your post and was reminded of that post I linked... so that new text-bar could go along with new other features for text...

I think it's more senseful to keep ideas concerning one special part of ts together.
