I run a TeamSpeak server for my clients to use free-of-charge. I do not profit from the use of TeamSpeak at all, actually quite the opposite, it costs us money to be able to provide the additional voice service for free to all our clients.
I thought we were operating within the boundaries of the license agreement since we do not charge ANYONE for the use of our TS servers. We have had several prospective clients approach us regarding the possibility of leasing their own dedicated TeamSpeak server but as of yet we are not charging anyone for the service.
Today our primary TS server was blacklisted and it has needlessly upset the 100 or so clients of ours that were using this free service for their own voice communications. In the past we've tried to pay you guys, just to be on the safe side, however each time we send an email with questions (like can we paypal you) we get no response.
Also we've received no emails from the TS team telling us we are in violation of their agreement. I would really be appreciative if our server could be taken off of your blacklist today as we don't understand how we are violating the software license.
We tell everyone that comes to us for assistance that TS is the way to go and the only voice solution they should spend their time playing with. I don't think the blanket blacklisting of servers you guys "think" are violating your agreement is at all appropriate, especially considering how disruptive it was to those of us who were NOT violating your software license.
I know you guys are slammed, instead of emailing I'll just ask here. We'd like to paypal you even though no one is paying us for the use of these damn servers, just to be on your "good" side I suppose. Can we paypal payment to you, if so what's the address and what's the turnaround time for you guys to actually credit us?
thanks,
