View Full Version : Message when trying to join a channel
I have a server that my Team and another Team are using, sometimes they join my channels and some times I join their channels, no pw to the channels, thats not a problem, BUT, I would like that I join a channel with a buddy, then I type a "channelmessage" when someone after the "channelmessage" is trying to join the channel, they get a window that pops up and say what I typed, for example, "secret admin chat", then they know that they should only join if they have something really importent to say.
Hope you understand, I'm not sure I understand myself. :D
Death to all pop ups!!!! Why do people want to continually harass others with pop-ups. They are one of the great plagues of the electronic world. (OK, I think I have made my point) Cast my vote towards never placing this feature in Teamspeak. If you want to place a message to users about a channel, put it in the channel description. That's what it's there for. And before you say it, that people won't read it let me say this. People don't read pop-ups either. They just annoy them and they just click them away. Nuff said.
I don't think everybody look if the channel desciption change everytime they join a channel, thats why I want something, doesn't have to be a popup, could be at the bottom of TS with red text, then a "Yes I will join this channel anyway" and a "No, I will not join" text under it you click.
Remember, this is just a suggestion, what the Developers do with it is up to them, maybe they use it but in a totally different way I suggested, then atleast I have given them something.
Don't think the suggestion part of this forum is up for some to just bash on other ideas.
If you don't like it, just say so, no need to type in anger.
Wasn't typed in anger. Just passion. I, like most people, hate pop-ups. :)
Are far as bashing, that wasn't my intention but if someone posts something as a suggestion that I think is horrible, I am definitely going to make my opinon known. That's the magic of an open forum.
