Hi all!

A quick newbie question. I just tried TeamSpeak with a friend and we got it working fine, meaning we both hear each other and got the echo reduced to a minimum. However, there is one thing I tried to do but couldn't get working, and this probably doesn't have anything to do with TS directly but others here might have tried the same, so here goes.

I have a standard headset with 2 plugs, one for mic and one for the headphones. What I would like is to get the teamspeak audio in the headphones only and the rest of the "normal" game sounds to my surround speakers (only). I have a SB Audigy2 card. So is there a way to assign and route the audio transferred over teamspeak to a specific channel that I can plug the headphones connectors into.

My speaker-set is connected through the Digital Out Jack, so theoretically I could be using one of the three Line Out jacks (LINE_OUT1..3) for the headphones, if I could somehow disable all sound on that jack except the TS audo (while keeping the normal sound on the Digital Out Jack).

Has anyone done this or something similar?
Please.. any help or feedback is appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Regards

For the Audigy2 there are the kxproject drivers that can manage that.

Other users will need a second soundcard. One for TS and one for the game sound.

Well,

this is not as easy as it sounds...guessing you are talking about windows here (post on the apropriate board next time !), then your driver needs to support it - I hear the kxproject drivers can do that kind of stuff (they support some of the SoundBlaster cards...you find them and find out more :) ).

I got this to work using a blue2 device. I can talk&hear via the blue 2 and listen to music with my audiology card. Don't know why it wouldnt work with other cards. I can't get it to work in BF 1942, but I am not sure if you will have the same problems in other games.
