I just set up my clans TS2 server on my network and we tried it out last night. I was able to join the server with no problem, but no one could hear me(all they could hear was white noise). When I set it up for voice activated their sounds turned into an endless loop and they still couldn't hear me. I tried different codecs, reinstalled the sound drivers, but nothing seemed to work. I couldn't even here myself on the test. The last thing I tried was the bandwidth setup on my client. It was at unlimited, then I switched it to 17 kbs. Bingo we have a winner! This doesn't make sense to me. I am attached to a server that has a 100mb pipe to mine and I have a nice DSL connection to the internet. I am running W2K FP3 on both the client and server.
My system specs -
*Pentium 4 2.4 @ 533MHz
*Albatron GeForce4 Ti4200P-Turbo 128MB DDR (running stock for this card @ 250MHz clock/550MHz memory)
*Mother Board Albatron - PX845PEV (533 FSB – 266/333 DDR)
*512MB of 266 DDR
*Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Any ideas?
