Crackling

A few people from my clan say that on TS, my sound is 'crackly' but when i try to record my voice in sound recorder, then play it back, it sounds OK. They say that it's so bad they can't make me out. What could be causing this, this is the second time it's happened and i've already bought a new mic, which seemed fine for a few weeks until these problems started again.

please provide further information about your hardware, your drivers, your os, your directx-version...

it's impossible to help you if you tell us "yeah, others can't hear me, how can I fix this?".

Sory, I'm using DirectX 9, my sound is an onboard Intel AC'97, i'm using windows 2003, but the problem also happens on XP pro. I don't have the latest drivers, because i'm not sure what model my mobo is. It came with my PC as a package. My PC model is an advent 3207, if anyone knows what motherboard it comes with.
