Ok, i have a turtle beach santacruz sound card, a ti4680 turbo, im runnin winxp pro, and i have the newest version of ts2. I try to talk with my friends and i can hear them, but they cant hear me. The green light next to my name is on when i press my button to talk, my mic isn't muted cuz i blow into the mic and hear it, i have voice permissions and all that stuff. I checked to see if it was just that channel, it wasn't, its the whole server. I tested my codec and the sound doesnt come out of it either. I fiddled around with wave or direct sound, screwed with the priotity settings, even checked some of my sound card settings. I updated the drivers for my soundcard a couple of days ago and it worked after i installed the drivers. The only thing new that happened was my computer didnt want to stay on, and it would shut off 5 seconds after i push the power button... thats all i can think of. I tried to talk b4 i updated to the new version of ts2 and i couldnt talk and i still can't talk. the server is runnin 2.0.19.16. Please help this is really pissing me off:mad:

The info im missing here is:

- You say your transmit light lights up (to indicate you are sending), but does it do that because you press a button or because it recognizes that you are talking (voice activation) ?

- Does the mic work in other programmes (try recording a .wav file with some win-recorder, the *feedback* sound to your speakers is NO proof its working, as thats a hardware thing...

My guess is that it doesnt work in other programmes, making it a Non-TS-problem :P...
You might want to experiment with the different input devices if the recording does work (maybe you are just not choosing the device the mic is attached too).
You also might want to check the logfile if there are any error happening that might render your soundstream empty. Annother (unlikely?) possibility would be a missconfigured firewall that drops the voice packets, but that would be a very weird missconfiguration I think :o).

my friend and i both press a button to talk... as for the mic working in other programs, i'm not so sure about that. The problem seems to have spread from me to him. I'll show him this forum and he can tell you exactly what's going on with him because it seems to be an problem that appears and disappears :( . I know that just makes everything that much more weird. This is the first time any of us has had a problem like this....

My friend tested his mic in windows recorder and it was all static so i guess it must be the mic... not team speak
 . hpw could he fix it cuz he's unplugging the mic and messing around with stuff.

my problem turned out to be that our administrator was playin w/ the settings and turned on the moderated server setting. he found out it was his fault and turned it off. i use ptt and it works w/ all other programs. so now i can talk again.:D
