how about giving game server providers such as www.clan-servers.biz free licences to run the TS 2 server on the servers they provide. they currently use RW because the licence is free. however, i know that many of their customers want to have TS put on (me being one of them), but clan-servers do not want to charge anymore for a service that is free (if general public download it themselves). i feel this is robbing the gaming community of a good service/program, as clan-servers provide a very good service which is also cheaper than any competitor of theirs! if you dont, then its your loss, cos they have waiting lists of clans wanting to rent servers from them and many wanting TS, but its cos of TS side that they cant.
already posted in thread about promoting ver 2 of TS, but would like to say again that game server providers are your best way!

Did you look at the price of a TS server license? It's actually very cheap. Not zero, but close enough, and negligible compared to the price of a game server.

Unfortunatly we have to eat too and therefor have to work for a living. This means TeamSpeak is completely written in our free :(
Gameserver provider only have to pay between 0.63 and 2.00 euro a month for a server. I don't think that is alot for them...
We are going to offer free servers to gaming clans and maybe league's.. so they can use it.
However clan-servers.biz and others EARN money by providing server to other, they are going to offer an extra service to there costumers and draw more paying costumers by that extra (free) service they offer so they will earn more. It only seems fair that they pay us between 0.63 and 2.00 euro for that :)..
