When I use team speak RC2, the very newest version, I cant talk, but i can hear others talking. The green light turns on when i talk. The weird thing is, it will work sometimes but usually not.

1) for testing use only push to talk (you can set it to voice activation later when it works)
2) test your settings with the integrated Loopback test in TS (move recording levels of windows sound settings up and down to find the optimal settings)
3) check that you do not have a insulate contact in your micro (e.g. by recording with the WIN Wave recorder

in 99,9 % of all cases this is only a sound setting problem

Same problem here.

Everything worked fine up till sunday. When I tried to use TS on monday, noone can hear me.

Iīve been a TS user for about 2 years now...

- loopbacktest doesn't work (cant hear myself), noone can hear me
- win soundrecorder works great

- tried new install from diff versions of TS

It seems like TS doens't respond to my micport or so.

Ive been trying and checking all week, everything is working properly, only thing I canīt speak :(

pls, what else can I do!?

I have a similar problem. I upgraded to the latest version of TS and it just doesn't work like the old version. I can login to the server, and chat with my friends, and suddenly I won't hear anything (and they won't hear me). I have to switch the sound driver between WAVE and Directsound to hear/speak. Even then, it is only a matter of time [10 minutes] before I can no longer hear or speak. I have a audigy with the drivers downloaded from the Creative website.

I installed DX 9 and changed to the Direct Sound audio driver and it works fine.

OK, this is really weird... but it fixed it

-I opened the sound recorder that comes with windows
-I tried to record my voice, but it didnt record.
-So I opened Edit>Audio Properties
-In the "Sound recording" section, I clicked the "Volume" button
-In the the "Mic" column, I checked the box next to the word "Select"
-Then hit OK ...And teamspeak worked!

I have this problem as well. I was really hoping that the newest ver would solve it.

Our Mech4 unit uses a dedicated TS2 server.

For the first few min I can hear and talk fine, but then the transmit part dies. Usually in the middle of a battle :(

I can push the button, but the green light does not come on.

I hve to close all proggies, and restart the computer and then start TS2 again. But it will die again as well.

I have reverted to RW...

PS everything else works very well on my computer. All sounds, all other voice proggies etc. And no overclocks, no cheapo hardware, all good stuff.

/edit/ this thread is the reason I registered for the forum.

is there any errormessage in your TSclient.log after you experience those problems?

dunno, didn't know I could get a log on it.

I don't have TS2 installed right now tho, I will have to look next time I install it.

I never got any error messages at all tho...

I have the same problem...

Im running Win XP, have a Hercules Fortissimo II and my mic works just fine. I have been using TS for some time now and it used to work perfectly. Around a month ago (while using Win2k) I first encountered this, I have since installed XP and yet the same problem. I can hear everyone just fine, but no matter what I do, key or voice activated, I get no green light. I have messed with every possible setting I could fine and still nothing. Even restarting the maching doesnt always help.

I too will be forced to go back to RW...ack!

if you didnt already try this, try it! It worked for me and my friend:

-I opened the sound recorder that comes with windows
-I tried to record my voice, but it didnt record.
-So I opened Edit>Audio Properties
-In the "Sound recording" section, I clicked the "Volume" button
-In the the "Mic" column, I checked the box next to the word "Select"
-Then hit OK ...And teamspeak worked!
