I am having problems with my SoundMAX onboard sound and TeamSpeak.

I have 2 sound cards, the onboard sound that came with my MoBo (SoundMax on my Asus P4C800), and then an Audigy 2 card.

I use my Audigy 2 for games, through my 4.1 speakers, and then was planning on using my onboard sound for my headfones, and teamspeak. I had this setup run fine on my earlier computer (SB PCI 16 + Onboard), and it ran fine for about two days, and then it just stopped recieving my microphone sound. I can still hear people talking on Teamspeak through my headset, but when I push the transmit button, it lights up, but the people on the other side hear nothing, not even static.

My Audigy 2 drivers are up to date, and my SoundMAX drivers are the same ones I had when it did work just a few days ago.

I thought my headset was blown out and bought a new headset, but still got the problem :(

It is actually getting the sound signal, just insanely weak. For now, I have it going through my Audigy card, but I would rather keep the two processes seperate, don't want teamspeak traffic impeding on my game sound quality...

Do you tihnk my Audigy 2 can handle teamspeak with no noticeable drop in game sound performance? I still have the sound comign back through my onboard sound, but my microphone being plugged into the Audigy, I don't want it to hurt my game sound (EAX) performance....

Any info?>

hey!

I don't have any problems with playing game-sound and ts with my SB Live! Value, so I just guess that you won't experience any problems with it...

only thing which changes is that you'll hear your teammates out of your 4.1 speakers or that you'll have to use the headset for all sounds...

so just to get back to your question: is it possible that you deactivated the mic boost of your onboard soundcard?
And in TS / Settings / Options, which sound-device is selected for input?
