Hello,

Since I have installed Teamspeak (latest version) I have been unable to get rid of the following problem.

In a conversation, surimposed to the game sounds and the 'conversation sounds' is a rather loud crackling noise, not quite like static, fairly regular (crack...crack..crack...).

As you can read from the above description I am not exactly highly technical.

I run the client on a laptop running Windows XP Pro, with a Sound Blaster Pro Compatible 3D audio card system. The connection is wireless.

Can anyone suggest a tweak or a fix to get rid of this ?

Oh, and an other question: can I run a server and a client from the same desktop ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

first question:
the only suggestion I can make ist to set the ts-client to high priority and switch your sound driver (ts-internal)
click on settings / options and switch the sound driver, afterwards click on other and switch to high priority.
click ok.
Perhaps this can solve the problem, if not... Niels is working on it, it seems to be a creative driver related problem, because it works with other drivers on the same soundcards without any problem.

second question:
yes, it's possible to run client and server on on computer.

I will try that. Thanks a lot for the prompt answer, I'll let you know if it works.

Hi Santa,

For the feedback: it didn't work. I still get a lot of static. I played with the settings and the priorities to no avail.

I'll look forward to getting further help and will keep an eye on updates.

Thanks for trying !

hmmm, the problem I have is that I don't know whether kx-project drivers will work with your soundcard...
But I think that a driver change would be the only possible way (at least at the moment) to solve the problem...

*sorry*, cu
