Im unable to connect to my clan server no matter what, i dont have a firewall, I have the win xp firewall disabled, and i have a wireless connection. Does a wireless connection have anything to do with me not being able to connect? Can someone give me another TS server with the password so I can see if this works with other server?

Any help would be appreciated

test the 3 public servers !
wireless should have no impact.

ok, i connected to a few public servers and it works, but i cant connect to my own server. Im positive the address, the password, and everything else is right. Other people from the clan are able to connect to it but not me...

let me guess:

your server is running in your LAN ?
you are connected to the WAN through a Router ?
are you trying to connect to your LAN server throgh the WAN IP ?
if yes => VERY bad idea !
you have a LAN IP, use it or suffer !

If no, give us more infos !!!!
by the way ! You didn't read the forum rules, did you ? Next time post what error you get, version you are using, where server runs,... !

If only I knew what that meant... could you explain that to me what that means as you would a 6 year old child?

I'm the server admin.

No, the server is not on his LAN.

He can ping the IP number.

Every other member can connect with no issues. That's about 100 people :).

He can apparently connect to other servers OK.

I'm stumped :\.

@Spiffy_vision
LOL... sorry, but this is impossible. So if you're 6 year old, forget about TS :D

@Korban

hmm... as long as we do not knwo what error he gets, we will not be able to help further :(
Did you checked if your are both using the correct versions (client and server) ? Not all versions are compatible.
please be more specific and give more details (which server, which client, which error,....)

well i dont know what version of the server hes using but im using the client and its version is 2.0.29.47. And the error I receive is "No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it" I can connect to any other public or clan, no password server just fine. I'll ask him his server version. Oh, and dont mind the six year old thing up there, i was just really confused.

- Versions seems to be ok, you both have the correct / newest version

- you can ping the server but you get a no replay error ? that's strange
- Port Scann of the Server IP ? Is the server Port open to you (if you don't know what port scanning is, forget about it) ?

- did you try connecting to the server by using the following syntax:
serverIP:serverPort (e.g. '212.41.73.112:8767')

Currently I'm having a somewhat similar problem with the game Freelancer. I'm not able to connect to a specifig range of WAN IP's with my ADSL ISP (=> timeout, profed by a Ethreal dump). When I use the ADSL login date of a friend, I can connect to the IP's any time :confused:
(still waiting for a feedback of my ISP)
This doesn't mean that you have the same problem, but it could be. If you have a second WAN connection (ISDN, analog,..), why not give it a try ?

Hi,

I'm receiving the same errors.

I can ping the server I'm trying to connect to but when I try to use telnet to connect I get a "Connection failed" error message.

The server is the latest version as is my client.

PS: errormessages out of the server.log or TSclient.log could help...

My system specs are as follows:

Windows XP Pro
Athlon XP 2700+
1GB of DDR RAM
Realtek AC'97 soundcard
Connected to the internet via an ethernet/usb ADSL modem (I'm using the usb connection) - the modem is a Netgear DM602.
I'm using the latest version of the client and the server is using the latest version of the server software.
I'm using no firewall (especially not the XP firewall).

I can ping the server address but I cannot connect to it via telnet.

I received this error when trying to connect:

[08:04:03] Connecting to 66.209.66.104
[08:04:07] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
