View Full Version : TS2, GC2 and Windows XP?
 I cannot get TS2 to work with GC2 even though I was able to get Roger Wilco to do so. I have a Creative Labs Audigy card. I startup TS2 and it works just fine by itself. As soon as I start up GC2 (which works fine), TS2 no longer works. I have TS2 setup as follows:
Voice Send Method: Push To Talk - RCtrl
Sound Driver: Wave
Input Device: SB Audigy Audio
Output Device: SB Audigy Audio
Here are my settings in GC2
Recording - Preferred Device: SB Audigy Audio
Activation Mode: 1. Press and hold to activate voice chat (default)
Activation Key: RCtrl
When I use TS2 I hear an echo of myself as I'm speaking, when I start GC2 this goes away and TS2 no longer works my I check the system using the Local Test - Activate Local Test Mode under Sound Settings. Any ideas. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

 Doesn't anybody here use GC2 with TS2? I could really use some help here please. Thanks.

Are you trying to use two voice communication programs at the same time? TS2 and Built in voice of a game?
I would clear your voice settings in the game and only use TS2

No I'm only using TS2 (starting this first), and Game Commander 2 (starting this second). I've had no problems before with Roger Wilco and GC2 together running Windows XP. Any other ideas? Thanks.

I did some looking for you at GameCommander site and think I found the answer. Please read the following:
"Game Commander 2 works with popular voice chat programs such as TeamSound, Roger Wilco, BattleCom and many others. So you won't be left out if your friends won't give up their favorite chat program. See the topic "Using voice chat software" in the "How Do I" section of the help file to set up your GC2 for use with chat. "
"How do I configure [insert your voice chat program name here] to work with Game Commander MX or Game Commander 2?
Go to the voice chat program's configuration dialog. There needs to be a setting for the recording or input device. Set it to GC Wave In rather than your sound card. Then, always start the voice chat program before Game Commander."
So I would read that as saying TS - [Settings]{options}{Sound Devices}(Devices)<Input Devices> should have a selection reading something like "GCWave", this is the device you should be selecting.
Hope this helps, good luck
Cstar_maxim - Thanks so much for helping me with this problem. Only thing is...in Windows XP there is no "GC Wave" available (only works with Windows 98, ME). Hopefully GC's tech support will help me out. I'll let you know what I find out. I really do appreciate your taking the time and effort to help me out. Take care. :D

While at the GC site I noticed that GC3 is out, I bet your answer is in there. Good Luck
