No mic reception

Hey! I have a problem with my card where when I key up to transmit, my light comes on but noone can hear me. I have checked every setting I can. I am not to experienced with using the sound card (Hercules GT 6.1). It sounds like a sound card problem but it could be TS. Please Help me I cant figure this out!

1) please post in correct Forum (Operating system)
I assume you use Win ? Can you record in WIN sound recorder ?

2) does the loop test in TS works ? (if you can't find this test, search for it in this forum)

I KNOW THE ANSWER!!! I FEEL DUMB AT THE SAME TIME BUT I HOPE THIS HELPS MANY PEOPLE.......Under settings/ options there is a Selection under Sound Devices called compatibility. I checked the box that says (Force 8 bit recording Check ONLY if experiencing problems with recording. After I checked that box my friends finally heard me. These were my symptoms, They could here feedback from themselves but not my voice, my transmit light came on but no sound was being passed. If you are experiencing any sound problems, I would try checking this box might do what you want it to :D!!!! Thanks for your time hope you fix your problems!!!!
