After installing TS2 on my system, I tried to activate it for the first time. I got the following error message, before it took me to the "purple" TS2 box.. The message read:

TDSOUNDOUT.OPEN (DIRECTSOUNDCREATE) No sound driver available for use.

Dont know what all that is about, everything on my system is running fine (Even my TS1)... During the installation, the .exe program indicated that it was not necessary to install any codecs so it didnt. Like I said, after the install I tried to use it for the first time and got the above message.

I have the following sound card: Soundblaster live x-gamer 5.1 with the latest drivers.

MOBO is a Chaintec 7VDJA with the latest VIA Hyper drivers. Bios is also latest.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I am getting the same problem, same error message
Same audigy-Xgamer sound card

Im using Windows XP service pack1 (directX 9.0b aswell) my file system crashed so i just completely reinstalled everything, and everything is up to date. I have an asus a7n8x (NON deluxe). I was told the deluxe had good onboard sound so i gave my onboard a shot, gave me nothing but problems unless something was accessing it ( while nothing using sound was loaded i was getting electrical impulse type sounds) TS( newest version) worked fine with my onboard sound, the volume was f'ed up and the microphone too so i installed my audigy, i uninstalled TS updated to the newest creative drivers and reinstalled TS and it gives me the same error, it connects fine, but i cannot send or recieve voice.

TS has never given me this problem, i think it might have to do with the fact that i installed my onboard first, but i completely uninstalled the onboard drivers and uninstalled the hardware through device manager... still gives me the error msg

I was able to fix my problem after serching through the registry and a lot of garbage i didnt need to do.
Step 1. Uninstall Teamspeak.
Step 2. Go to search, Make sure that searching hidden files and folders is ON
Step 3. Search for "Teamspeak"

You should get quite a few entries, I imagine you are going to have a few cookie files and temp internet files, disregard them, go for the meat! You want to look for a file called "TEAMSPEAK.EXE(this is followed by a slew of random alphanumerics)" it is a "PF FILE". DELETE IT!. next look for something called "teamspeakconf" it is a "CONF FILE" DELETE THIS ASWELL!. It may not be necessary but i deleted any folders in documents and settings/(my user name) containing Teamspeak I recomend you do the same it has gotten me into the TS server without any error messages, and when im in it doesnt automatically mute me completely, no one is on now to definatively make sure it works, but it seems to!
