Ok So i had Teamspeak up and running fine for months until my pc crashed today. After the crash I rebooted my system and started up TS server and now no Global Ip is being displayed, just an internal one...
So thought the problem may lie with my router, therefore i tested the connection with my old speedtouch usb this also gave me no joy and i know that Teamspeak ran fine with that too before todays events.
So i unistalled teamspeak and re installed it, still no joy only getting an internal ip address..
Any ideas would be much appreciated thanx.
Unfortunately, this won't help you at all - but I have exatly the same problem - started today.
My connection fell over so I rebooted the server, started all the services and I cannot get an external IP for the teamspeak server.
All other services including web and mail are working fine.
The Server.ini file has the correct external IP address bound, but the log file is reporting initialisation failure and no external IP address bound - this has been working fine since March and since the upgrade in June to .40 build.

I think this is a big issue. I am having the same problem. I just reset my router to no avail. There is another thread about this same thing. It is titled "not showing router IP address?"
Everything else on my system works fine.
another thing to note....when I run ipconfig in a dos window, it does not display my external IP like it should. That is something that bugs me too, I wonder if this is a TS problem only or if it is something else?
An Ipconfig /all here produces correct results and I am not in this instance connecting via a router so shouldn't be any forwarding issues.
I even did an IPconfig /flushdns to clear the dns cache.
Most odd - especially as all my other web sites, web based apps and services are running to the outside world perfectly.

Like i said i had a router and also tried my old speedtouch, these both worked fine up until yesterday and now they don't. I have looked into this as much as i am capable of atm and i do not think it is my Router or speedtouch giveing me the problems. I have looked at my interface in my routers configuration and i can see the address that Teamspeak is on fine. This leaves me to believe its something with the software, i may be wrong but thats my diagnosis. Might try and get an older version of server if i can...
Just thought I'd add that despite the logs saying no external IP - the server is running and connected to users in US, UK and Canada today.

I am having a similar problem. last night the power cut out and everything crashed hard.. DSL is working fine, my router is working fine and even my game server isn't suffering- but Teamspeak server is unable to obtain the external IP. Has anyone found a solution to this?
I'm having the exact same problem. No gobal IP's are displayed.
I can connect within the lan, However no one can connect from outside.
Help!!

Same problem...
System locked up and had to reboot - afterwards, only the local IP shows. Updating IPs has no effect.
I'm also using a SpeedTouch USB DSL modem, but no router.

Not having a router, I was constantly having to update my site with a new IP address for my TS server after every reboot or system crash - Major hassle!
I got around this problem very easily at ZERO cost.
Simply go to http://www.dynu.com - register for the Dynu Basic Dynamic DNS Service.
Download the V3.0 basic software and install it. If you follow the simple setup instructions, you can then just run it and forget it.
The software constantly checks your IP address for changes, and automatically updates the path to your TS server.
This is done by entering a url instead of your IP address numbers in the Server Address box of the TS Client - Connection setup. (e.g. www.#####.dynu.com where ##### is the name you registered with Dynu.)
The whole process took me under 10 minutes to set up and it works like a charm!

I am also having the same problems, I had to reformat Windows, went to reinstall my TS server, and now it won't get any global IPs...I thoguht I was just having local problems but from the looks of it, this is a pretty widespread problem?
It's the routers. They're odd. Sometimes they just stop working correctly. Seen it before and it's just weird.

As i Said in earlier posts i have router which has not been re configured at all, also to troubleshoot if it was the router causing the problems i used my speed touch usb, Still no global Ip's, therefore i really don't believe that its the router. My speedtouch also never had problems before this crash

Dudes
I never OWNED a router - but I still had the problem.
NOW I SOLVED IT!
This is absolutely FREE!
Just download Dynu Basic Online V3.0 from http://www.dynu.com
Register a domain e.g. yourname.dynu.com
Use the URL (www.yourname.dynu.com) that you registered instead of your IP address in the TS Client-Server Address.
Everyone will ALWAYS be able to connect to your server - even if your IP address changes 10 times a day!
Seems like I have the same problem as everyone else
Quest DLS isp.
No router
I subscribed to the Dynu service and set it all up and as far as I can tell it's working.
I can see my server when I search for it but when I try and connect it says that teamspeak is not running on that server.
I have no external ip when I look at the ips from teamspeak.
