in the server.ini I have ExternalIPDetectio = 1 so it should detect it. But it desn't => looks like a problem with the upate service (not your fault).

=> check your IP here: www.myip.dk

or use a service like: www.dyndns.org to get rid of changing WAN IP's

Funny question here, but what version of windows are you using and at what service pack?

I used Teamspeak when I had XP installed - with no probs, had the port forwarded on the router etc and it worked fine.

I have now installed WIN2K with SP4 on my machine and teamspeak server can no longer detect the external IP address with the exact same message in the log file.

I don't think your/my issue it is a router issue as I have had it working, just with a different OS....

I might try with an older version of the server!

again, it seems to be an issue on the TS "master server", so don't bother around with it !
Detection doesn't work on my TS server since july 24.

I'm no a TS Admin but I would say it's 99.9999% a problem on the Server responding to the externen IP detection.

So have pation and wait till the service is again up.

I am running Windows XP pro...

I still can't get it to work i keep getting the same error. I have set my router to renew my IP from my ISP and i have had the same IP for over a month now. Sorry it took me so long to reply but i have been very busy at work and home life. How long does it take for them to fix the prob if it is on there end? Or is it even on there end? any help would be useful.

@jsalari

are you blind or just stupid ! It's a bug on TS side. NOT YOU FAULT !!! So stop crying !
1) This has realy not priority as there are (TOO) many webpages which desplays your WAN IP in the www. Use google...
2) TS is a free SW / service so have patience !
3) As soon as this errors stops showing up in your log file, it's back working, it's soooooooo easy :-)

hope you got it this time :-)

EDITED: oh, and if you're trying to connet from within the LAN by using the WAN IP, stop trying this, it will most certaintly not work (due to your router not capable of handling this.... most certain !)
=> use your LAN IP within the LAN
