Cannot open administration page?

I am now running XP on my new pc, so I downloaded the server and when I try to connect to the administration page from the link in the system tray it brings me to http://localhost:14534/ and says page cannot be displayed. So I cannot setup a server. I have tried both with and without my firewall protection on and cookies are enabled. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are cookies enabled?
does the ts-server run? which server-version do you use?
is anything in your server.log?

I'm having the same problem as well. I' using the newest Mozilla and IE browsers. The webadmin page had previously worked, and the server still does work. My only question is what does this error mean? Well, I suppose I'd also like to ask if it's possible to get to the webadmin manually without having the click the link on the icon? It's a wonderful piece of software, I'm just wondering why this stopped working. I have cookies enabled and everything. It worked fine before but now I get that same message when I click "administration".

I'm running IE , cookies are enabled, Yes the server is running cause I can log into it under my IP , and for version I am running what is current for download off of your site TS2. Unfortunately I cannot check the server log right now cause I am at work but I will when I get home and let you know if theres anything in it.

Hi,

do you have ANY personal Firewall installed ? If so, try disabling it. On another occasion this has helped

I'm using a router. But the server is working fine because I have fowarded ports. The admin page also worked before behind my router. Is there anything else that could cause the problem?

When you click the Admin Icon which IP's does it bring up ? If there is not 127.0.0.1 amongst them but something like 192.168.0.2 then try to substitute localhost with that IP so it reads http://192.168.0.2:14534/

Yeah, that was the problem. I did it manually and it works perfectly. Any way to change that in the .log file or something so that it goes to that IP instead of whatever it's trying to go to (when I click the administration button)? Thank you so much for your help.

well I guess you could alter you host file. Dunno though if that has an impact on onther things. Worth a try

go to

X;\YourWinDir\System32\drivers\etc\

there you'll find a file called host ( no extension )

there is a line in it readin

127.0.0.1 localhost

change it to

192.168.0.2 localhost ( or whatever your local IP is )

if any Networking stuff is behaving strangely I would change it back.

In that case you may well just set a bookmark :D

i need some help. I can get to the administration page. However what do i use 4 the username. I tried to use my name i signed into teamspeak with and the password stated in server.log. However when i try to get on it comes up login failed

i have cookies enabled.
I have also tryed to secondary address broader stated up there.
but the same thing happens.

I have tryed re-installing several times. But the same thing is happening

mayb im using the wrong username...if so can someone tell me where i go to get the correct one. Thanks everyone

new is the username: superadmin (as you can see in the german part below).

If you reinstall, make sure to delet the server.log, server.ini and .dbs file ! They are recreated each time you restart a server without this files.
you can alos open up the .dbs file with a editor and check the password after "admin". There is a thread about this in this forum => search for it if you need to know more about this possibility !

try entering http://192.168.0.2:14534/

where '192.168.0.2' stands for the IP of your TS server.

YOu guys have funny Browser settings. I'm not quite sure but I belive it has something to do with a setting to allow the URL you enter get searched. Check your settings !

hey i figured it out the administration button wont go to the right thing but i found out what it was and know i can get on from typing in the localhost link thing

i tried the ip thing but it still isnt working for me!

any clues and i would be so greatful, cuz im a newbie at this whole ts server thing, but once again anything would be great!

:D boy i feel kinda stupid, i figured it out now, i didnt see the post bout changing the file so that kinda slowed me down, but i know u guys woulda helped me anyhow so thx everybody!
