delay of speaking

Question: When I talk into my microphone there's a delay of about 2 seconds, so I here myself again 2 seconds later.

Well, there's always a delay for technical reasons!
The client record, compress and send the signal to the server, which forward it
to the other connected clients. This needs some time. But of cause the delay depends on
the speed of the client (which is not that important), on the speed of the network,
the speed of the server (CPU, RAM, count of clients speaking at the same time),
the free capacity of the network, ...

There are a lot of reasons! Did you try the "local test mode" of the client?
