Hi,

I have a little prob, I hope anyone will be able to help me.

I have 3 PCs (all using WinXP).

The first PC, a 2.0Ghz is linked to internet, the others a 1.8 and 1.7 are using this connection (WinXP automatically shared the connection between the 3PCs).

I creat a TS2 server on the 2.0 (the one who has the connection), I can join my server with the 1.8 and 1.7Ghz, but all guys that are using internet and that try to connect received a message that say the server is not running on this PC.

I have directX 9.0 and my soundcards are in the SB Live! Series.

For information, I have no router, so I can't check any manual. ;)

Thanks for your help.

The connection sharing that XP is doing is the same thing that routers do when they allow multpile hosts to share one IP (NAT).

So you have to configure some kind of port forwarding (I don't know if/how this works under XP, so I can't help you here).
This may be unnecessary (depends on how XP has implemented this) if you run the server on the host that is doing the NAT (connection sharing) but maybe that default XP firewall gets in your way.

Perhaps anyone is able to explain me how to do what Dummer Sack told me? please

Thanks you Dummer.

actually it's quite clear what he explained...

if you configured your local-network and internet-connection with the windows-xp wizard then it will automatically turn on the internal firewall for the computer which is connected to the internet. You can either deactivate that firewall (but you should use another one) or you could configure it to not to block incoming traffic on port 8767 but instead forwarding it to your computer.

right-click on your network-icon on desktop and select properties.
right-click on your internet-connection and select properties again.
switch to the other tab (should be the last one)
in the lower right corner you'll find a button called settings, click it.
click add
name the service "teamspeak server"
ip is "localhost"
external port is 8767, select udp
internal port is 8767 too.

if the firewall is turned off, then there's something else blocking the traffic.

Do you have your (XP) Firewall off?
You don't need to forward ports on the 2.0, because has a direct connection to the internet :)

Yes, my firewall is off.

But I did what you told me, it doesn't work.

i've the same problem

i even cant login on my own pc

i'm using WinRoute and i redirected the ports to my ip

public ip: everything
public port: 8767 UDP
local ip: 192.168.0.2
local port: 8767 UPD

and the TS server is running on my pc

i can't join whit my public ip 217.123.x.x (2 x' for privacy ;) )
but i can join whit 192.168.0.2 and 217.0.0.1
but no-one can join on the internet

my pc's: the internet sharing pc: p2, 233mhz whit win98
and the pc where TS server on runs AMD ahtlon @ 1,8 ghz with win2k

and i don''t use a firewall

// edit
it works almost fine now...
everyone can connect though my i-net ip
and i must join with localhost ore somthing like that
