View Full Version : TS locks entering game: MBTR

Hi all,

we're running an old (1998) driving game, Mercedes Benz Truck Racing, that has poor chat and poor multiplayer synchronisation, therefore we adopted TeamSpeak to keep in touch during games.

The problem is that, as soon as we switch from the game menus to the first race/training session, Team Speak stops working. It doesn't return to life when the session is finished, either.

Moreover, ALT-TABbing from the game to TS it appears that TS is blocked, frozen. If you try to re-run or re-connect TS, sometimes the MBTR game crashes, sometimes it's all frozen, sometimes the whole PC gets unstable and you need to reboot, to make everything work again.

We're different ppl with different PCs, OSs, Sound boards, and we're using TS in other games (such as Live For Speed) without any problem. So, it's nothing hardware-related, apparently.

Can anybody help us?

I forgot one point of the forum rules, sorry: we are all using the latest TS version, downloaded yesterday evening.

All other HW/SW details should not be relevant, since we're 5 ppl with different PCs.

I also forgot to mention that, when I got TS and the game both frozen, I rebooted and relaunched TS as well. My 4 mates were still listed in the TS channel, with green lights, but none of them could speak/hear. As soon as they closed the game and TS and reconnected, too, we could speak again.

is it possible that the game tries to capture your recording device which is already used by ts in this case?

Good question....but why should a sim racing game try to capture my recording device? It's not something they usually do....
