View Full Version : How do you create a new channel?

I recently donwloaded TS and want to start a new channel for me and my friends to play online games. I want the channel to be private (or password controlled) and I want it to be permanent (meaning I do not have to create it each time I log in). Is there a way to do this (preferrably for free? :D )

If you run your own server, is that something you have to pay for?

After you download the server and install it, is there anything I need to know to get it up and running? Will my firewall security interfere with the server and others' ability to connect?

As long as you do not sell the service TS (Servers) to others, TS is free !

Things you have to care:

You hopefully understand that we do NOT post again and again al the stuff you have to care for as someone spent hours to write a server manual, cleint manual and a FAQ !!!
Usually that's what people should look into first before asking in the Forum :( I knwo, most do not...

Read the docu and if you have SPECIFIC questions, ask them here (according the forum rules). Have fun with TS !

the scarey thing is, with all the posts that have come through on this forum that could have been easily be answered if they had just read the manual/FAQ or did a forum search, I beleive many more have read the manual/FAQ/forum and found their answers and have not waisted our time.

Thank you all that have read the manual, FAQ, and have done a forum search to find your answers. We may never really get to know you but you are the people we would preffer to know.
