View Full Version : Conection Timed Out
I have opened up the UDP port 8767 on my router and my friend can now see the server. But after 3 sec or so it say Connection Timed out. I can connect to the server cause it is on my LAN but he can not. I don't have any firewalls up and I have the 8767 UDP port forwarded. Is there any other ports that I can forward that will fix this probelm or is it a problem with my ISP maybe.

if your friend only wants to connect to the server with his client, you don't need to open any other ports.
This could either be a router or an ISP problem, yes. (your server works as you can see when you're connected.)

well the router I have is a Network Everywhere Wired Router model NR041-WM (it is made by Linksys). Not sure if this tells you anything about the problem I am having.
There are houndred or thousand different routers available. You have to check your router with your supplyer for known problems.
Have a first look if there are new firmwares available. Often new products have problems which get solved by new access device drivers (firmware).
okay got the latest firmware just need to test it out to see if others can connect.
