What is Teamspeak!?!

TeamSpeak was primarily designed to work for people who are behind a NAT

This gives me no explaination what this is...

How would this tie into my game server?
Doesn't the game server already have an ingame speaking feature? I know HL does.

NAT = network address translation.

Teamspeak = Voice Communication Software, comes as Server and Client. Server mixes the audio streams and sends them to the clients.
It has better voice quality than that icky voice comm feature of Half-Life last time i used it.

How do we use this?

I have it for my server but have no idea what it's for or how to use it.

How do we tie the teamspeak server into our gaming server?

You said, client. So that sounds like I have to install something onto my computer to enable it?

Hmmm...sparked my curiosity...

There is currently no easy way to synchronize the TeamSpeak server and the HL server (Like team change = automaic channel change or automatic connect to the correct teamspeak server).

But the improved sound quality makes up for that.

There are currently projects running to make the things I mentioned above possible (I am writing on such a thing for BF1942 and Q3).

On how to install the server and use TeamSpeak read the server manual and the client manual.
