I tried the Admin Webinterface on 2 linux comps. One at a static-ip and one at localhost.
If I try to add or edit users, my browser doesn't stop to load and I get this errormsg:
Runtime error 0 at BEBFFAD8
Runtime error 221 at B809A8C1

Gotta play now ;)

Same here, too.

SuSE 7.2
As long as there are no players logged into the server, the webinterface works.

As soon, as a player logged in, it crashes with in seconds.

I got the same problem.

The teamspeak tasks gets also Zombie on my system. Is there any solution to get rid of an Zombie task (killing is not working).

same here ;-(

The webinterface didn't work with Opera and with Netscape i get some Runtime Errors.

But after about 20 restarts of the server my config is almost complete :-)

I hope he won't crash now ...

Gentoo 2.4.19 / GCC 2.95 / Athlon TB 1200

same here with debian woody

i tried different browsers with different numbers of runtime errors, I ranked them with biggers runtime errors hits in place one.

1. mozilla (linux)
2. konqeror (linux)
3. opera 6.05 (win)
4. IE 6 (win)

with IE it is at least usable, it lets you actually do some thinks before the crash happens, the other -> no use.

I'm getting "Runtime error 0 at BE9FFD3C" when I use the web-interface. After changing the admin password, I can't log in with neither web-interface nor TeamSpeak client.

People, please TRY testing things.

Found the problem already. I ran it too on a Gentoo Linux machine.

The main problem isn't starting the TSS2 server or using the webinterface, it's overloading the webinterface. If you click very easilly and let every page load completely... and then slowly click on a link, it will work. And the chances of crashing are more slimm.

The server it thus easily overloaded that, when logging in with 2 users at the same time into the admin tool, it already gets borked.

did you looked at the server.log for any usefull exceptions about webinterface ?

Let me post a bit of it in here:

27-08-02 08:13:43,WARNING,Info,server, TeamSpeak Server daemon activated
27-08-02 09:04:39,ERROR,All,WEBINTERFACE, Exception: Exception

How do I put extensive debug-logging on in the program?
Maybe I can generate more output.
The problem doesn't happen when I'm not logged in... <extensive refreshing of the screen>
It does happen when I extensivelly click on links when I'm logged in to the webinterface. Somewhere the session borks and takes down the entire webinterface.
To be more precise, it doesn't crash the first serverPID made.. when teamspeak starts, it start's like 8 to 9 times on my server. it's always the SECOND pid that crashes.. so that's the startupPID+1.

I tried to start the server again and got the runtime errors. After a close look at my process list I noticed there are several zombie processes. After killall -9 server_linux everything went on fine.

While getting the runtime-errors this is logged to the server.log:
---------------------------------------------------------------
26-08-02 23:17:41,ALL,Info,server, Server startup initialized
26-08-02 23:17:41,ALL,Info,server, Starting server with port: 8767
26-08-02 23:17:41,ERROR,All,SERVER, can not initialise udp communication with port 8767
----------------------------------------------------------

No suprise - still there were several processes so the port could not be initialized.

Jup,

Got the part allready ocr*CptMeat.
Try doing as following:

killall -9 server_linux

this will kill the borked webinterface. Now you can start the teamspeak server again.

Don't know if this helps, but I'm not getting any exceptions in the server log. Also, it crashes as early as the server selection page, so "use the web-interface gently" is not really a work-around, it's not like I'm rushing the damn thing...

Someone claimed in another thread that the crash is caused by not using IE, which would be a sad comment on the state of the code and the quality of beta testing, IMHO. It took me (and probably anyone else) all of five minutes to untar the thing and find out that it's utterly broken. If I can't even configure it without crashing, there's no way I'm going to put online. </rant>

With that being said, is there anything I can do to better diagnose this problem, like increasing the debug level ? Or should we just wait for the web-interface to get fixed ?

(Specs: RedHat 6.2 on the server machine, accessing the web-interface with Mozilla on RedHat 7.2 and Windows 98)

Try to disable image-loading within your browser. Someone in another thread said this should help also.
