View Full Version : what is TCPQueryPort?
I saw in the server.ini file the line:
TCPQueryPort=51234
What is this for? Do i need to open this port for any reason?

I've played a little and that port doesn't seem to effect much. I did find TS2 server was using port 8767 for tcp

If you telnet to it you get a [TS] prompt and it looks like you can actually do something with it.. what, i'm not sure.

With the old TSS, the server would post data to a web form every 3 minutes. With TS2, most of the data must be asked for using a TCP connection, and this port is for that. Post more questions over in the WebPost forum, as this topic is common to both Linux and Windows servers.
