Hi

With TS2, whenever I activate speak (button or voice activated) I get a very high level of static (all encoding types).

This is present even with the mic disconnected (button activation).

Using CounterStrike ingame voice, TS(1) or simply voice in windows is no problem.
Rebooting etc doesn't help either.

Using the W9x 2048 Aureal drivers which to my knowledge is the latest.

I've tried both with EAX on and off, but neighter helps.

Any suggestions of what to try next?
Could it be some code bug/incompability?
Have anyone used TS2 with success on a vortex-2 card?

With further testing it seems that the problem is mainly/only present in Local Test mode.

Others report hearing me well even though when testing it locally it sounds really crappy to me.

People with other soundcards are also reporting similar experiences when they try Local Test mode.

This is a most likely not a limitation of the soundhardware, as I always have voice_loopback on (the equivalent of Local Testmode in CounterStrike, except it runs even while you are using it to talk to others).
In CS the loopback mode is crystal clear with no static what so ever.

This this contsnt loopback feature btw is something I would really like to see in TS2 in the future. It takes some getting used to, but is really greate for indicating to you when you might not be readily understandable by others due to eg some technical issues.
