Is it possible to start and login to a TS server from the commandline. Ie specifying a server address, login info and a default channel to connect to, directly in a shortcut on the desktop ?
This would be great as you can autostart and autologin TS at Windows startup.

you can autoconnect to a server by using the following parameter:
Teamspeak.exe [IP]
e.g. if you want to connect to a server running on the same machine:
Teamspeak.exe 127.0.0.1
haven't found out about automated registration/login however... :-/

After a friend (Thanks Mr_M) spotted the 'browser launch' method in the FAQ, I messed around and found how to launch and connect (with username/password/channel) from the command line or from shortcut.
TeamSpeak.exe "ip.address?nickname=YourNickname?loginname=YourLog inName?password=YourPassword?channel=ChannelName"
:)
Subject Keywords: Command, command-line, commandline, shortcut
May I add that channelpassword=passwordofchannel also exists :)
thx to Floorpie for pointing me to this thread

You're welcome
I also had to hunt down the info, we find it highly convenient to be able to make a desktop icon to click on that connects right to the server with username/password and joins the correct channel. I'm sure others would use that ability to!
Thanks for posting the channelpassword info!

add "?subchannel=YourSubchannel"
to join a Subchannel
Check client manual for webbrowser login as it seems to work for a shortcut too. All options are there.

I created a web shortcut on the desktop with this command line:
teamspeak://IP_or_NAME:PORTifused/?nickname=NickName?loginname=LoginName?password=Ch annelPassword?Channel=ChannelName
Best is to edit this in notepad, so it doesn't wordwrap on ya, then paste it into the link URL
I was unable to locate this in the TS manual.
Tested in XP only.

They threw that into your manual as I was posting this. ;) :D

My links work, IF I have the room already created on the server.
Is there a way to A) Create a set of channels/subchannels on the server without active clients? such as:
-Server: port
|__ BF1942
| |__Allied
| |__Axis
|
|__FS2002
. |__ Al's Cut Rate FBO comm
. |__ Carrol County Traffic
and/or.... am I missing something on the URL line to create new rooms? I'm not setting up user accounts as we never know who will join... Do I have to be a registered user to force a 'create room' on connection request?
Can someone from the TS team compile a listing of all URL and command line options that are available? It would be a good add on to the manual :)
Thanks for your help

Subchannels Included:
"C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2\TeamSpeak.exe" "ip.address?nickname=YourNickname?loginname=YourLog inName?password=YourPassword?channel=ChannelName?c hannelpassword=PasswordOfChannel?subchannel=YourSu bchannel"

of course cowboyguy, just click on channel, create channel and select registered. Of course your login must have rights to do this.
Too lazy to post here. I've been working hard on that manual and ALL stuff is there. Just follow the webbrowse commands under menu connection -- connect.
Hello,
i have tried your commands all :
"C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2\TeamSpeak.exe" Ip.Adress?nickname=Yournickname?loginname=Yourlogi nname?password=Yourpassword?channel=yOUR channel?channelpassword=Channelpassword"
But the Problem is :
When the Chanel exist .. it works perfect !
But when the Chanel do not exist ??
Is it possible to create a chanel with a command line and join then in this chanel ?
Thx

can't create channel using command line.
of course <insert name here>, just click on channel, create channel and select registered. Of course your login must have rights to do this. You cannot do it from the command line, but the menu interface, yes. Selecting registered will make the channel persistant and it will remain even when noone is connected to it.

i would recomend that you start advotizing this, there is a lot of people out there that want to know how to start teamspeak with a batch file.

"C:\Program Files\Teamspeak2_RC2\TeamSpeak.exe" 192.168.1.2:8770?nickname=Dygear?loginname=Dygear? password=Mypass?channel=Main
Maybe???
Hi All!
Maybe someone can help me?
We use TS2 on the local area network. Every time the same channel, the same players (and nicks), the same settings.
A very good idea, that developers already has did is a command line feature like this:
teamspeak://Local_Server_Address/nickname=ThePlayerNick?Loginname=?password=the_pas s_word?channel=our_common_channel
But we very need an additional feature - mute a (some) player(s) every time, when the TS2 client is started. Probably on the same way: teamspeak://Local_Server_Address/nickname=ThePlayerNick?Loginname=?password=the_pas s_word?channel=our_common_channel?mutePlayer=Playe r_Nick
Or another way - simply store all the settings that users made before in order to start the client with the stored parameters.
Is this possible?
No, that's not possible with the TeamSpeak 2 client.

Ops. It's so pity :(
Okay. I will wait for TS3 sdk. Maybe next generation will do it.
Thank you.

I tried to put a link inside the programs -> startup and tried to put inside register -> local_machine\.....\Run
It is not working all the times and I didn't realize why yet...
Another question:
Lets think that the above solution it is working.. ok
Now, I need that the teamspeak client auto-reconnects if the connection fails, automatically).
Is it possible??
I am using a TeamSpeak in my employee's computer, because I want to listen up what he is talking about with my customers, but he can not know :p

this is absolutely possible from experience.

I mean I was able to start or close anything on remote pc including TS.... as system .... and plus it doesnt show to user the window......
but it acutally suck if you want to show that window as well
do you have it in agreement with employee? did you ever heard word privacy??

I have cameras inside the building for security reasons, these cameras show me my employee too (consequence). But in the case of this specific employee it is a little complex because he works most of the time alone inside the building and I am thinking that he is selling products of the competitor, because the sales are very low for the amount of customers it serves!
I am talking that a normal value is about US$40.000,00 and I got only US15.000,00 every month... it is impossible!
When I stay working together with him, i see he is selling a lot!
ok, you will say to me: talk with him about this, but I don't want to talk, I prefer to change the employee and I will do even I can not even prove.
There is another thing that is: I want a TS running on the server too because at night, when the alarm sounds, I can see cameras from my house and I want to listen sounds inside the store to see if it is a false alarm.
Talking about TeamSpeak running in silence mode, this is just a challenge for me that I want to win like other things.
So, if u can tell me how can i start those commands as a system i will appreciate.
change employee
that is kind of obvious.
but you see there is companyes which just care about selling. and there is companies for which selling a product isnt end of theyr help/care/support.
well it might be this it might be that .... :/
why br chezzz... they have very bad repute.
well obviously such a things are good to be not public so private/PM_only
some good way to reach ya?
