Hi

I recently got a mic. It works fine in windows but in teamspeak my mic is permantly muted. I can hear sound fine but can't speak at all.

I have updated my DirectX and sound drivers. I have also fiddled around with the devices but to no avail.

My operating system is win 98(first edition) and my sound card is a C-Media PCI Legacy device. The sound options in windows are not muted.

I took a look in the log and heres the copy. Hope you can help.

"C-Media PCI Legacy device" sounds like a generic onboard soundcard (driver) name.
Ever tried a different soundcard?
It's a simple fact that there are hardware / driver combinations that just don't produce acceptable results.

I have the same problem, and a clanm8 of mine as well.

though it never worked at his place, and his mic does work perfectly woth other programms

I've got a semi profesional soundcard, and a 70 euro mic, so I think I may espect things to work properly. even better it did work properly, even perfectly, until my HD was thus damaged I had to re-install my windows ( and also teamspeak client ) and now it simply doesn't work, I can record sound in programms like Cool Edit, and I can even sing karaoke, but the light in TS simply wont blink.

I had the same problem as u...

When I ran TS it popped up an error msgbox "No sound driver available" but the mic in windows worked perfectly...

I could hear all, but could't speak (use my mic). My user picture was the same as mic muted...

What I did?
Just clicked Settings/Optionc/Other/Debug and the voice said "Microphone Activated".

It works now.
