Ok well I play a number of games using ts2 i believe I have the newest version...(2.0.19.40) well ive reinstalled ts several times reformatted my pc and done a number of things to fix the problem but none work. The problem is everything runs fine and is clear as a bell but from time to time (normally once an hour or so) I get booted. But its not like when they say you have been disconnected...cause when that happens i just wait to reconnect. What happens is it just closes without me knowing and all of a sudden ill be talking to myself and have to get out of my game and reconnect.....I've been using ts forever it seems but this gets really irritating... Is there anything I can do????
Newest version is 2.0.32.60
I recommend you try it to see if your disconnection problem has been solved.

Well thats where i got the d/l the first 50 times and i just uninstalled and did it again and i got the same version not the new one so where can i get the new one?????
hmmm,
this sounds like a confusion of server/client versions, the version you see if you connect to a server and click on it (on the right side) is the server version, 2.0.19.40 is the newest server _release_ (there are newer developer releases though). The client version is displayed in Help->About [or alternativly by rightclicking on YOURSELF when connected to a server]....As noted, the newest join can get there is 2.0.32.60.

Well I have the version you speak of in the help about section..and I have the .19 version listed on the right so this is not the problem i assume. So what else could be causing these disgruntling disconnects????

Hey might be a long shot, but one of my guys had the smae problem. I told him to check a few things and he did and it fixed his problems.
1 make sure your sound drivers are up to date
2 Not sure what kind of nic u have but I told him to first, make sure drivers/firmware are up to date and make sure there are no settings that close connections after idle for x ammount of time.
3 If u are running a software firewall, disable while u use TS or see if you can set it to a port that will not be affected by firewall / hardware firewall try the same thing.... open a port for it with no restrictions.
other thatn that... no idea. And, I wish I could tell ya which one fixed his problem, but he did all three and got back to me after I told him to do one at a time to see what the problem could be. D'oh

"after i realize that im talking to myself....nobody else on the server has the problem...."
(1) Does this mean you are no longer on the server and you must connect again to the server?
or
(2) Does this mean that you are on the server and no one can hear you anymore and you have to reconnect?
Sorry just trying to understand where to start. I believe you are stating (1) as your symptom.

This does not help!!!!!
Please tell me with Yes or No's
When your problem happens is...
1) TeamSpeak client still running? (Teamspeak window or icon)
2) TeamSpeak client is still connected to server? (TeamSpeak displays channel list and players)

Ah, not what I would have guessed from you previous posts. You do not just lose communication, you do not just lose connection you lose the program running itself. (Teamspeak seemingly closes by itself, hense the lose of connection and communication)
The causes for this can be varied, depending on many variables. Can you please read the following and provide the info stated in the "when you are posting" section.
Click Here! (http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/announcement.php?s=&forumid=2)
It will atleast be a start. Thanks

Heres the problem.....TS closes whenever it feels like it basically. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling... Ive tried turning my xp firewall off......Ive reformatted my pc then reinstalled....It happens on all servers....It happens with many games..........
Anyway it just disconnects and doesnt tell me, when I close out of the game I'm in and go to my taskbar the ts icon disappears (its there for a split second till i put my pointer on it then it disappears). If I realize that I'm off ts soon and do the pointer thing and find out I'm gone, if I try and reconnect too soon it says user is already logged in.
Ok.....specs and what not that u asked for are as follows:
ts version...2.0.19.40 for server and 2.0.32.60 for client
operating system......windows xp professional with all the service packs and hotfixes
sound card.......SB Live! Audio [D000] driver version.....5.12.0001.0252 (This also happened with a sb 16pci sound card with the updated drivers)
Games...Many games like Madden 2004, Tiger Woods 2004, Global Operation, Americas Army, Battlefield 1942, Soldier of Fortune II, plus others and at times I may not even be in a game
Direct X version......directx 9.0b (the most recent I believe)
Error Message....I don't recieve any error message at all, I'm just suddenly not on ts I reconnect and its fine till the next time it decides to act up.
How often......LOTS! WAY TOO MUCH!! To be serious though.....it varies.......it seems that it can be fine for a while but once it does it the first time it happens very frequently sometimes up to every 15 minutes or so.......and sometimes just a couple times in 4 -5 hours of using it.......It totally varies and I havent really found any kind of pattern in it at all......
How did I resolve the problem.........???? I havent or I wouldnt be posting this 15 minute question.......I have no idea how to fix it!
And NO I'm not a female at all sorry...........Unless of course this will fix my problem faster then I'll be whatever u want me to be!

I too run a similar computer to yours.
win xp pro,
amd athlone 1.4 gig
512mb ddr ram
sblive 5.1 value
radeon 8500le
direct x 9.0b
Right now all I can think of for you is the MotherBoard drivers and BIOS. When have they bee last updated? You will want the following updated:
a) USB drivers
b) OnBoard Sound
c) OnBoard NIC
d) AGP drivers
e) BIOS ***Carefull***
etc...

Best way to know forsure is to open the box and check the motherboard for its make and model and version

Assuming you did more than D/L them but also installed them I will suggest you try playing with the Wav/Direct sound device driver and your process priority. For test purposes make sure Gamevoice hardware support is off and maybe even turn off direct input for now. (all to be found in [Settings])
I tell you to test these out first(again) because the only other thing I can think of doing is a BIOS update and that is something you MUST be very carefull with. (Potential of crippling your MoBo)
After that is a matter of digging into the system registry. Both these things should be done onsite IMHO.
