After doing quite abit of search in these forums I've noticed i'm not the only one that is experiencing this issue. Teamspeak works flawlessly as the only app going. As soon as I start battlefield 1942 (Desert Combat Mod ;) ) all of my audio is replaced with apache/blackhawk noise that completely drowns my voice. Its not a WinXP issue because we are running 3 identical computers, one with XP one with 2000 Pro and one with 2000 server. They all have the same issue. So it seems like a hardware problem.

Teamspeak 2 2.0.32.60
FIC AU13 MOBO (nforce2 ultra)
Athlon XP 2500+ (barton)
1gb PC2700
radeon 9600 pro

I have all of the latest drivers and i've tried switching the audio from directsound to wave and vice-versa. any help would be greatly appreciated.

sound card?
sound driver version?
Codec of channel?
Bandwidth available for TS?

Just to let you know, the latest sound drivers for my sound card do not work for me but the previous drivers do. I don't believe it is really just the sound card issue but a soundcard/motherboard combination drivers issue. (My case, SIS735chipset+SBLiveValue)

I am hoping for a MoBo driver update soon that may help me to up my soundcard driver to the latest.

The sound is built into the motherboard and i'm using the Nvidia nForce drivers version 3.48. But i looked on FIC's website and saw that the audio was Realtek ALC650. I found some beta 3.50 drivers that I might give a shot and if that doesn't work I'll probably try finding some dated drivers. As for the codec. I've tried using all of them. And that doesn't seem to be the problem. Bandwidth available is unlimited cause i doubt that it could ever use my 4mbit connection :)

You may want to make sure that all game sound functions that use the mic are off too, not sure if it has a speech to command type system built in or not.
