Slow Motion Speech in game

Ok I am at my wits end

I have a P3 866 600+ MB Ram Geforce 2 card, DX9a, SB Live Value, DSL Connection and newest drivers for everything

all of a sudden I am getting this thing that wile in game (Shadowbane) when the game is loading textures or spell effects people talking sound like they are talking in slow motion. if I ALT TAB Out everything is fine.

I have played with all the TS settings and Codecs too

My wife is running the same system without problem. I cannot find a reason why this started or how to fix it short of reformatting my system...

Sounds like bad drivers, try find a update for them (on the manufacturers page).
Also, what version of TeamSpeak are you using (exact version string plz). Id like to ask you to try the newest (2.0.32.60) if you arent already, and if you are using that already, please have a look what happens if you use 2.0.29.47 (it should be in the archive of the download section)

sounds like a CPU loading issue to me. Try to unload it as much as you can.

I set my computer up with different logins for different uses. That way when I game play its only running what I need for that...

Yea, Cstar_maxim is correct about the load being the issue. Everyone might get that from time to time based on the load of the CPU while in game. You said it happens when loading textures and the like, and I dont know the game but I am sure these textures are pretty large for your comp to handle and run everything else. Deffinitely make sure you dont have a bunch of crap running in the background that you dont need. If you know much about this, you could try msconfig under the run tab in WinXP and even Win98, then go through the startup progams and make sure you are not running a bunch of miscellaneous programs just for the heck of it. Make sure you know which ones to turn off though, because nothing ruins a tweak like a bad one. Hope these tips help ya out.
