Any idea why the latest version is such a resource hog?
I'm running Windows 98 SE on a Compaq Presario 5745. Its Pentium 3 600 Mhz machine. I shutdown as many applications as possible and it still runs slow. In fact it take a little over 5 minutes to even startup once I click on the Icon.
Once I do I have running, I can't start any other applications. I can't even bring up the Explorer.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Have not heard about anything like it - anything in the log about problems ? Any other applications going this slow ?

No other applications go this slow. I timed it this evening and it took 8 nminutes to initialize. Once it is running, it runs fairly well, but I can't switch to any other apps.

from your other posts I would suggest updating your ComPaq drivers.

I've already done that. I applied all of the lastest updates from the Compaq site. I also applied all of the critical Windows 98 updates (August 2003).
TeamSpeak runs fine as long as it's the only applications that's currently running.
It seems to me that TeamSpeak is just a resouse hog when running under Windows 98.

I could see how it seems that way to you on your machine and I will continue to try and help, but it normally is not a resource hog leading me to believe there is something wrong with how your computer is put together or set-up. No offence, I hope you get it fixed.

I managed to get TeamSpeak running much faster on under Windows 98 on my Compaq Presario.
I had to set Processing Priority set to "High" and also make sure that "Always On Top" was "Checked". Once I did this, TeamSpeak comes up with 1 second.
Other Applications are also running now, but they take about 5 seconds to start.
