Error: TDSoundOut.Open

I've just update my OS from Win2k pro to WinXP pro. Now, when I launch TS I get this error message:

TDSoundOut.Open(Direct Sound Create):No sound driver is available for use.

My SB Live value card is working properly and drivers are up to date. How do I fix this issue?

check you version of DirectX and run through the tests in Directx by [Start][Run...][DXDiag]
