Boom Mic Problems with all Codec's

Ok i have a boom mic and so does my best friend it sounds tingy and reverbs alot.. Any suggestions we are both using onboard sound and mic inputs on the mother boards.

well the biggest improvements will come if you use headphones c/w built in mic. instead of the boom mics.

Thanks i have tried the headset but had a boom mic that was mine and was getting yelled at for the headset back lol. so i thot id try the boom mic and it did not work.

would be pretty smart to use push-to-talk then, so your friends only hear their echo whenever you want to talk to them.
also try to increase the distance between your mic and your speakers, that should help *g*
