Voice Activation

When I am connected I cannot use voice activation as this causes the others to be on my channel when they speak. ie the green light comes on as does mine though I am not speaking. I really need to use voice activation. HELP ! !

most probably your soundcard is set to record any sound that is played back.

(also read the third post in that thread, your soundcard is very old, possible that it's a hardware problem as well.)

Thanks for the advice which was of no use. I actually hunted down an older version of TeamSpeak and loaded that. All is fine now. If other people have probs they should maybe do the same until the new version has the bugs fixed.

I doubt this is a good proposal. I use a SB Live and the newest version of TS. No problem with voice activation here !

In general, it's best to use the newest versions as this one solve the most "bugs".

I can't comprehend your case, but if you use older versions, you could get:

1) compatibility problems
2) you're missing other, probably important bug fixes

so I would do it only if you're aware of this (what most users for sure aren't) and if it's the last possibility (which seems to be your case).
But I would not give it as a general advise.
