Im sorry if this has been mentioned already but I didn't find an answer in the searches.

We run a TS server for our CoD clan and have since opened it to the public. Everynow and then we get this guy on here who spams URLs to each client wo some type of online rpg gaming site thing(Jokes on him cuz I had everyone click the link and report him as spamming and now his character will be deleted hopefully :) ). Anyways, he doesnt stay on long enough to ban him so I checked in the server log and noticed it doesnt really record anything at all other then starting and quiting.

I checked for a setting in the server setup for logging IP/connections and didnt see any - maybe I missed it.

If there isn't a setting, is this something that could be added in a later version?

I dont want to restrict the ability for people to send text messages to prevent this, I would rather just get his IP and ban him from both our TS server, but website, forums, and the game server.

I know several clans who like to keep their TS server public, it really does make it a lot funner but the lack of logging makes it harder to admin.

1) as admin you can right click him and then get the connection info which also shows his IP.

2) Don't sitting infront of my server, but I'm quite sure you can set the logging of IP's in the server.ini...

If you did not notice him on the server and you have a server 2.0.19.46 running also set

sa=1

in the [log] section. This will also log accesses to the Web Interface and the TCPQueryPort so you can see if he spams you via the TCPQueryPort where you can send messages to the whole server via the msg and msgall commands.
Server 2.0.19.40 does not support the sa logging feature (It was added in server 2.0.19.43).
