When using TS2_rc1 with no other applications running, the sound quality is OK, with no stuttering.

When running MOH:AA the sound gets extremely stuttery with only 2 people on the server.

I have tried changing the codec's, and from Direct Sound to Wave nothing seems to help.

Server
P-III 450, 384MB Ram, T-1 connection, win2k server sp3

In your settings change the sound device to Wave instead of Direct Sound, that should fix the stuttering.

We tried TS2 last night in our squadron and we experienced severe stuttering. It was worse than in TS1.5.

We tried to change settings to wave, and key push activation. Some stuttering disappeared but not all. I noticed that stuttering almost always happens when 2 or more people try to talk simultaneously. (A keyklick or microphone click may help here).

I hope this issue gets sorted out very quickly. It makes TS unusable with our game (IL2)

It was my understanding that you should never set a process to realtime unless you want that process to completely lock up the computer. However, in the spirit of testing, I will try that out tonight and report back the results.

Thanks for the suggestion.

@ Blasney:
Read both Client manual and XP lockup threads in FAQ.

we had the same tonight

first time using TS2 and no one could communicate in game. Out of game great start game (DoD) and no-one could speak cos of the awful stuttering.

The server is running on a windows 2k system and a mix of client OS with 2k and xp

will play about with settings a bit more
