When you have TeamSpeak set to transmit when your voice reaches a certain volume, let the user hold a key to disable recording for a second while they yell at their parents to go away, or blow a big fart.

I don't like pressing a key when I'm flying a plane, or in a particularly stressed situation, but this would help make no-hands recording much more useful by filtering out useless noise.

Great application guys, it's always free software that's the best. I like your Linux support right off the bat too. You've done some truly amazing work.

You have the ability to bind a key to mute microphone.

Yes, a "cough-button" is actually what I want the most at the moment. Everything else is working great.

It's not the same thing as binding a key to mute microphone. I need both. :)

Reason:
I need an easily accesible way to mute the mic for a few seconds. If it's a one-key bind, I'm going to accidentally press it while typing in-game or surfing. With a temporary mute that wouldn't be a problem.

So the optimal solution is having the "permanent mute" on something that isn't often hit, like right-ctrl + o, and the push-to-mute on a single key, like R.

Hmm,

for me its always a thing to implement stuff in a general way, not just specifc. Of course you could just add a special thing for the cough button. But I would prefer it to be able to just bind on "key down" and on "key up". This is on mantis already though.
