Connecting to server Question

Ok i just got TeamSpeak Client and Server and setup a server. When i have the Server running and i do the quick connect to it i can get on but when my friend trys to connect using the same IP that i have in the Quick Connect box and the same Password it comes up with an error saying that the server is not on or not responding but i am in the server and talking to him over the phone so we had the same exact information. Also when i tried looking for it in the normal serer connect option it would not show up at all? Is there something i have to do before other people can connect to the server?

This question is answered probably 10 times every day !
1) Read the server manual (port forwarding) !
2) within your own LAN, use the LAN IP, the WAN IP is only needed for people trying to connect from the WAN (internet).
