I have a bunch of people come on my server all the time. Most of them register themselves. But then there are the bunch that don't and refuse to when I ask or they just don't know how to. I was thinking that maybe there could be an option in a new release of TS that a message of the day thing would pop up when they join letting them know how to register, and then how to come in as a registered user.
If anyone have any ideas to be added to this or anything relative to it, I would like to hear some of them too.
Well,
suprise suprise, you can do this already =). Just use the tcpquery interface in a script, and msgu every user with any/all messages you wish to send to him/her.
Also, a very good idea (for your specific problem) might be to just not allow creating rooms and switching to registered rooms for unregistred people. That way the people that cant register will be forced to stay in the lobby :-). Just add some description to the channelinfo of the Lobby telling the guys howto register etc.

Yes you can do this, but since no events are on the TCPQueryPort are available you will have to poll the server.

Do a search for TCPQueryPort here in the forum.
Also when you connect to the TCPQueryPort via telnet (e.g. telnet localhost 51234) just type help for a list of the commands.

I've already connected to the server via telnet (tho i used Putty) and i'm logged in. I don't see an option for a msg to all kinda of deal for when the join. Could you point me in some sort of direction, well, you have already done that but i didn't that earlier today and i am still having problems figuring out how I am to do this. Maybe you could hop on my TS server and help me through it. I just want to point out that it will be when you want to, not like i want to force someoen to do it "NOW!" :)

Thank you in advance to anyone who turns out helping me, and to everyone else that gave input.

I don't know if the commands are in the 2.0.19.40 server. In the 2.0.19.46 server the commands are:
msg To messsage a server.
msgall To message all servers.
Well for the msgu command the help documentation is missing (known bug in mantis). So I can not help you there. Also I did not get it working on my 2.0.19.46 server. I tried the following syntax (And others also):
msgu <p_id> <text>
All I tried just gave me "error" as return.
(And yes i selected a server and logged in as an admin or superadmin before).
EDIT: Also the msg commands are not mentioned in this (http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7481) changelog for server 2.0.19.46.
