What do you think about a function where you can bind a key to send a sound file in the current channel.
Maybe limit the sound file to a certain length.

Example:
pwk.linuxfans kick message "My name is Tony Montana - you fuck with me, youre fucking with da best" does not fit in the kick reason.
So he records it to a wav and binds it to a key.
Then just before he kicks people he pushes the key and then kicks them.

Just an example ... :)

EDIT: Maybe combine it with whisper, so that you can also whisper sound files.

I also like this suggestion... and you should be able to send such a soundfile on other events as well... so e. g. onjoin, onquit, etc...

In other apps that we've used, triggering locally installed WAVs was very useful. It did require that we create a sound pack and distribute it to our admins and regs, but then the WAV was 'referenced', not pushed over the pipe. That kept the actual BW use to a minimum.

Coming from the HL server world, we got used to having both in-game voice comm and executable sounds. TS has the opportunity to bring both of those features to the other games we serve (CoD, etc). Having these would make our entire community very happy!

This the sort of thing we are looking to use on our league TS.

Incidentally I am still trying to fathom out whether that's the message he was proposing to give out  or if that is the sort of thing that gets you kicked, certainly would round here.
