OK ive downloaded the client and server for windows. And me and my fellow friends play a game called tanarus.

Now when i host a server. What i do is i open up the server after i downlaoded it and it gives me an ip. I then open my client and put in that server ip. I get on just fine however when my friends try to acess it, it claims theres an error. Can someone please help me.

Right now im running on a belkin router, and from what my dad says all ports are open.

It gives me the following ip address...... 192.168.2.38:8767

How come this isnt working :S do i need to be registerd on the server, if someone can help me out without giving me a link i would apreciate it.

Ive read everything on the boards and yet i still dont understand. Please help me!

LMAO!

well, what's the error to begin with!?!?!?! If you have read everything here, you would have noticed that this is always asked first because people do not include it. Also did you read the documentation?

And for some reason, I have a suspicion that not all ports are open.

well nobody can help you if you do not know what is going on. Read your other post ( http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9538 ) and open port 8767 UDP.

You need to open the TS port as adviced in another post (8767/UDP). You also need to give your friend the address of your routers external interface. The 192.168.* address range is a reserved range for private networks and is only valid for hosts behind your router.
Your router probably has a admin interface where you can find the external address.
