Hi all

I have gone and set all my permissions up as i want them, and i am finding that they are set up to what suits me best.

Though i would like to know is it possible to backup all the permissions and users that are registerred with my server, and all the settings etc?

Is this possible?

Thanks all!

To backup, just copy everything from the Teamspeak2_RC2 directory (or wherever you have installed the server).

I think you only need to save server.dbs and server.ini, but I just backup the whole directory.

Your sever config is stored in the server.dbs and the server.ini file.
If you want to be 100% sure also back up the server.log.
The server stores no vital data in the registry or outside his install dir.

What I did was copy the entire TS folder to CD, reformated and installed the OS and then installed the TS server with the installer and then copied and pasted the dir over the fresh install. Worked fine for me.

If you have a second computer you can just run a test by installing a fresh TS server and then copying your folder over from your other comp and run the server. Just incase I missed a step. But I am 99.9% sure.

Thanks all, just tried it out uninstalling it vompletely - including manually deleting the whole folder!

Re-installed the server and client and tested it - and it does only need the .dbs, .ini and the log is usefull to me!

Thanks all
