cant run GV and TS2

Hi all,
I did a search but didn't find this particular problem so I aplologize in advance if it has been answered somewhere.
This is the problem I am having. I have TS2 and the Game voice on two computers with the server on a third.
I can run my GV software and the TS2 at the same time without problems however my room mate cannot run the two. If he tries to run the GV after starting TS he gets a message that the voice system is in use by another program and if he starts the GV then TS then the mike is muted?!

any ideas on how to get around this and why he can't run the two at the same time but I can?
and yes I have enabled GV hardware support.
One other thing I noticed on his computer when you check the options for duplex etc his always defaults to wave and I have to set it back to duplex??

I run a fortissimo 7.1 sound card and he runs an Audigy sound card.
any help would be appreciated and If I forgot something please let me know.

If gamevoice and TS can run at the same time depends on many things, like the OS you use, the sound hardware you have, the sound driver you use ...
Using a program that is using mic parallel with TS is not officially supported. It may work but in most of the cases it will not work.

Activating GV support in TS just means that you can assign the GV Puck keys in the key settings of TS.
