Maybe it's just me, but I think it would be very handy to have a way to toggle the recording function through the pressing of a key or combination of keys. I understand that it's non-existent now because it asks for a filename each time you do it, but perhaps there could be a way to make a default file name, like ts001.wav or something along that line. If ts001.wav happened to exist, then it could automatically number the next one, and so on.

good idea, file it on mantis.teamspeak.org - but ask for better filenames, like: servername:channelname-DD-MM-YY.wav :)

Yeah, that could work, too. Custom naming scheme with variables and what not. Good idea.
Excellent idea... I can think of a couple times when i wish i had that. Do it! Should be pretty easy to incorporate.

Consider it filed. Report number 0000572, for what it's worth.

I added to that with 0000609 - how about allowing for auto-recording to begin upon login?
Also, add an hour/minute to the suggested recording filename since games can start and stop pretty quickly.
Finally, in addition to potentially recording to MP3 (as waves get pretty huge), also consider allowing a feature to resume recording with a particular file rather than having to create a whole knew file. If this can be specified in "Recording Settings" then when someone toggles on/off recording, they don't have to worry about a checkbox if they don't want to be prompted.
