I have, for the past couple of weeks, been trying to host a TeamSpeak server behind my SpeedStream 2602 2 Port Cable Router. I have tried everything and quite frankly I am about to give up entirely. BTW everything works fine if I bypass the Router. However, I get the same error message every time I try to connect through my external IP address, internal IP works fine.
[17:53:25] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
I have spoken to the manufacture and they are completely incompetent. Their only response is 'did you read the manual'? If any of you would be willing to help me I would greatly appreciate it. My system specs are as follows:
WindowsME, TeamSpeak 2, DirectX 8.1, SpeedStream 2602. All of my SP's and drivers are up-to-date.
According to the router manufacture I need to open ports in the Advanced Setup|Special Applications section. Within that section I have entered the following information (contains information that I have entered):
Trigger Port (8767) Trigger Type (UDP) Public Port (8767) Public Type (UDP) Enable (check)
In the second line I did the same but with all settings for the TCP port of 8768.
I want to thank you for your time in advance,
Osiris

only thing you should need to do is port forward the port you use for the server (default is 8767) back to the internal ip of your server. I would suggest you personally connecting via the internal ip. if you want others from the outside to admin it via the web interface you need to port forward that port back to the internal ip also

Solitaire I wanted to thank you for the help. Seems that I was trying to do too much. All I had to do was go back to the basics. I figured it out. Took three weeks, but I did it (with some help of course). If anyone ever needs help configuring a SpeedSream Router please feel free to email me. I am pretty much of an expert now, lol. What ever you do, don't call their Tech Support. They have no idea what they are doing. They pointed me in the wrong direction right off the bat.

How do you do this. this router has a option special apps where you set a port but see nothing for port fowarding....

Ahhhghhghh!!!
